Origin of the names of the days of the week

All seven days of the week are named after ancient gods. Monday means day of the moon. Tuesday was named after Tyr, the norse god of combat. Wednesday was named after the father of the gods. The original meaning of Thursday was Thor's day. Friday was named after teh norse god of beauty called Frigg. Saturday was named as the day of Saturn. Finally, Sunday was called the Sun's Day.
